2025 Season Match Fees

Below are the details for match fees for the 2025 Ovington Cricket Season. We look forward to as many people as possible playing over the coming season and will be happy to take any questions regarding match fees that anyone wants answered. We aim to make cricket available to all as much as we possibly can but unfortunately, in order to do this we have costs that need to be covered and have to set match fees as low as we possibly can but still at a level that will cover these costs.

The match fees due for each match are as follow

Junior Players (Under 15s and below) – £4

Concessions (Students, Pensioners, Unemployed etc.) – £8

Seniors (all others) – £10

For 1st team games only there will be an additional £4 per player per match to cover teas.

2nd and 3rd team players will be expected to provide enough tea for two players for every home match. More details for 2nd and 3rd teams to follow.

Starting this season, there will also be two options of how to pay fees

Option 1 – Which we expect the majority of club members to use, is to keep paying fees on a week by week basis on exactly the same way as previous seasons.

Option 2 – Only suitable for people expecting to play 17 matches or more over the course of the season, is to pay match fees for the full season up front. The totals owed (detailed below) mean that if you pay up front and play 17 matches or more then you will save money. For reference there are 22 league fixtures for each team plus cup matches.

The club committee will consider offering refunds to any player who has paid their match fees up front and then exceptional circumstances (e.g. a broken leg) forces them to miss a large amount of the season. Refunds will be offered on a case by case basis and will not be automatically offered simply because a club member played fewer matches than they expected, left to join another club or chose to make themselves unavailable for parts of the season.

If anybody expects to play some 2nd team games and some 1st team games over the course of the season, then we would recommend that they pay the 2nd team rate and then pay the additional £4 per every 1st team match that they play on a match by match basis in order to cover the cost of teas. The 1st and 2nd team captains should be able to give advice to anyone not sure if this applies to them or not.

Can all payments please be made to the club bank account by Saturday 12th April.

Please include the word Fees in the payment reference and the name of the person or people whose fees are being paid. This will help us to make sure we have a note that the fees have been paid and you won’t be asked to pay any weekly match fees that are owed.

Evening League match fees will be £4 per match, paid for on a match by match basis and will not be covered by any up front payments. Juniors will be exempt from Evening League fees as previously.
