The Knavesmire pub continue shirt sponsorship

We are pleased to announce that The Knavesmire pub have continued their sponsorship of Ovington Cricket Club, including senior kit sponsorship, for the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

The Knavesmire, based on the corner of Albemarle Road/Queen Victoria Street has been a partner of the club for many years. It is the destination for an after-match drink and also hosted the majority of our AGM’s, Committee meetings, Presentation Nights (for both junior and seniors) over the past years.

The pub is recognised as the ‘last stop before the racecourse’ for many racegoers who want a drink before reaching their destination. As well as the usual drinks available, the pub have expanded their menu to include more diverse options.

Chair of the Sponsorship Committee, Josh Fletcher said:

“A huge thank you to Stuart and the team at The Knavesmire pub for their continued support of Ovington Cricket Club. Especially given how difficult it has been for pubs in recent years given the pandemic. We really appreciate their support and we feel especially welcome at their pub. The club are looking forward to adding more silverware to their trophy cabinet. As well as many a celebratory drink post-match. We look forward to inviting both our players and the opposition to the pub as the next two seasons unfold.”
