Date for your Diary! Funday 17th July
We are proud to announce that Ovington’s “Funday” event will take place on Sunday 17th July on the Little Knavesmire!
Our Funday, prior to the pandemic, was one of the most anticipated events in the Ovington CC Calendar. For the first time in three years, it is back.
The main feature is a “six-a-side” cricket competition which brings together players of all ages and abilities into one tournament. We use soft cricket balls and a different rule set. It has brought about some great memories and moments over the years. They include first team players being dismissed by some of our youngest members, and we sure hope you will be able to join us on the day for what promises to be a great occasion.
Registration for the cricket competition begins at 12 noon on Sunday 17th July, costing 50p per player to join.
From the registered players, teams will be selected of between 5-10 individuals in a fun cricket competition that has provided many great memories over the years.
Play in the competition is due to start at 1pm
Some of the features of the day include:
- Cricket competition made up of teams of all-ages and abilities
- BBQ & other food available.
- Bar
- Tuck Shop
- Raffle – all prize donations welcome!
It is meant to be a fun family occasion! Do invite family and friends who may not have any connection with the club to come along and experience a great day!
For those with any further questions. Please contact U11’s coach/Third Team Captain, Brandon Bishop or any of the junior/senior committee members. Those playing in the Under 13 match on that day will be able to join later.
